Re: Leucistic Texas Rats

The gene that causes Leucism is also linked to a gene that also causes an undesireable effect called bug eye, so it's advised to cull these specimins as to not pass along the bug eyed trait and only the Leucism trait. When Leucistic Texas Rats first started to appear a vast majority had the bug eyed trait but it is slowly beeing breed out of them thank god. Honestly I don't know about the $50 US they go for about $100 up here in Canada
