Any man-made planks of wood(particle board being one)have both glues and chemicals in them. Therefore, if you use them, you must line the inside of the cage with something and seal the edges. I hear linoleum works good, but you have to use silicone along the edges. Personally, I think it is much better to go with plywood, it is glued and chemical treated the same as particle board but it will last a lot longer.
