I suspect he's got a case of mbd which is making his jaw weak and swollen in appearance. When its like that they really can't chew. Make sure he gets a GREAT UV source, and appropriate diet. Mango is excellent for a fruit, but greens should be the majority if his diet. Dandelion is excellent if you can get that, turnip, mustard and collard greens are good, as well as parsnips.
I add mango into mine for flavor.
Also a calcium supplement wouldn't hurt.
