I would also get them (one at a time) into the bathtub with 85degree water up to their elbows. Let them soak for about 20mins-30mins.
I would get the abcessed ig to the vet ASAp. You might try treating the abcess in the mean time with triple antibiotic ointment for the meantime. Contact the local herp society for help there.
