I have a male BCI i got from Gulf Coast Reptiles that has that insane amount of beautiful color and is absolutely clean also...i have yet to find a female that looks like him......i have seen older "siblings" (from prior breedings of the same parents) of my BCI , and they look a lot like your red male...thats why i was asking where you got him from.
I think that would be a exciting project to breed BCI that are this immensely colorful, clean and have this gorgeous tail.
I too, hope that it is genetic in a way.
