HI,
I am glad you asked , I found the article in this months reptiles magazine on page 9,
a MR Craig Burak founder of VA Beach Reptile Rescue was quoted as saying he may have to reconsider due to the new Law he averages 30 -100 animal rescues a year..
Another was Bonnie Keller of Richmond, she rescues an average of 50 a year, a school teacher who works part time to help pay for some of the rescues ,will limit her rescues to only 6 per year ..
The petStore mentioned had this problem last year and wishes to not be named, he tried to pursue the issue but the animal control didn't have the facilities for the creature and the zoo didn't want another animal at the time,,by the time he reached animal control the animal was gone.
I had no clue about the new law and only disscovered it while reading my reptiles mag. heck ,,IVE RESCUED 6 reptiles this year my self..Sick pythons and turtles...and I dont care much for the pythons....I just hate to see them foaming in the mouth thats got to be a pain...
I am sorry if this a negative conutation but I have seen some things get a little out of hand here in VA.....
