Wow, memory lane. I did a google search and came up here. Notice this post from 2004... so what happened to the Oscars and Plecos, you say?
Oscar #1 died. I don't know why, he had some kind of attack, and floated to the bottom of the tank. I was sad to see him go like that.
Oscar #2 relocated to the big tank, to live with the Plecos. And there they have been until this week. Oscar #2 developed a bad tumor on his head, which seemed to grow internally. He lost sight on one eye, but continued to move well, and eat well. As long as I saw him eating, I figure he was ok. A couple of weeks ago he stopped eating completely. Not a bite. His health deteriorated to where this last few days he was swimming sideway and not looking well at all. I decided it was time to go and finished his ordeal.
The pleacos are still there. I am planning on building a pond in the next couple of months and they could be the first ocupants.
