It's like a poor fix, putting the water on the warm side. The better thing to do is get an enclosure that will hold humidity. Misting is OK, but it's easily forgotten about and tough to do if you travel and/or have a busy schedule. I'd try to find a solid top, instead of a screen or mesh top. That will make it so much easier to get the humidity and temps right.
