The poop area may have just had the temp he wanted. Best solution: Clean the poop. Animals can get sick from laying in their own poop, so don't let it build up. (I'm not saying you did, he could have been laying in a single poop from that night, but just in case..) Also wouldn't hurt to bathe him in lukewarm water. Just take a container, put some paper towels on the bottom, and put in lukewarm water at belly height. Stick him in there and let him cruise around in the water for fifteen min. or so. Take him out, wipe his underside off, dry him, and put him back. Don't leave bathing animals unattended. Sit and watch him. BTW, leos *hate* water, but it won't hurt him.
