hey,
my two carpets are voracious eaters. they have both readily taken to just about anything i throw in for them. for a while they were eating one rat pup every week to ten days and now they've moved to one mouse every 10 to 14 days.
i've also noticed that they do like to spend a lot of time out in the open. i've given both of them one hide box on the ground and an elivated box. they spend about an equal time on their branches and the elivated box. they almost never, with the exception of just eating, spend time on the ground.
