very very humid? Come on frag...You know better than that. If the snake has a build up of mucous then high humidity will break it up too fast and he can't cough it up right away and will drown in his own funk. Best to keep him warm and dry...and as he gets better then expose him to short bursts of high humidity for a very short while at a time and let it break up slowly after a week or two of treatment. Sometimes there will be nothing to break up....that's great...after a couple of weeks if there are no symptoms you can boost the humidity back up and leave it. A Vet visit is still a good thing IF the vet is known to be experienced and good with herps. If your snake is less than a year old...don't be afraid to question the use of antibiotics. They will probably kill a very young snake so it's usually advised to just try and get rid of an RI with round the clock heat. Make sure he stays hydrated through this. He may need to soak in pedialyte or water every day for an hour or so to keep from drying out. Good luck.
