I agree with east stingray, as long as the girth of the crawler isn't to much bigger than the girth of the snake WHEN THERE ISN'T A RAT INSIDE HIM ALREADY. Had to emphasize that, I've seen somebody make that mistake once. I know from talking to you in the past your smarter than that but hey, just for others....If he can get by the 2 front shoulders he'll be fine. Watch him, see if he really struggles at the shoulders....Dont' take it out of his mouth if he's trying....if he can't do it he'll back off eventually. Hope that answers question 1.
Again I agree with east stingray....I wouldn't worry about it as of yet? Have you ever had a fecal exam done by a vet on your snake?? I recommend to everybody when you get a new snake at least get a fecal examf to check for worms and other parasites.....If you stretch out the feed to 10 days I bet it won't be quite as runny.
