Chameleons and Vacation

I have always been a snake owner, and have only ever owned 1 lizard. However, I am really interested in getting a Chameleon (Flap neck). I know I can personally care for it, however I tend to travel several times a year for periods of up to 2 weeks. Snakes are not a problem when you travel if you have automated your cage functions like me (I.e. light, water, humidity). A snake can go 12-14 days on a large meal without any damage. My sense though is that a being absent from your Chameleon for more than a day or two could be lethal. I was wondering if anyone had an experience with what to do with a Cham if you need to go away for a week or so? Do you board them somewhere or do you just not go away? I really want to bet one, but only if I know I can keep it healthy and be responsible for it. Anyone have flap necks?
