Wow, That is terrifying. I love to fly, but seldom get to anymore (Maybe that's a good thing....) My sister flies alot as does my dad. My dad has the common sense and wherewithall to pay attention to his surroundings and people in his vicinity. He has flown to/worked in 'hot' spots all over the world for years (military man). My sister is the typical bleach blonde (no offensive to blondes anywhere, but she fits the general stereotype) she's happily unaware of everything, bebops through life with few cares in the world (no, she is well educated and 'book smart' but common sense left her years ago). The scary part is, both of them are in the smae amount of danger, no matter what is going on. No matter who you are or where you're going, everytime you step into an airport (even before the Sept 11 thing) you are putting your lives into strangers hands. Scary thought, isn't it? While it does pay to be aware of your surroundings, it still will not protect you from 'them.'
I guess the only thing we all can do is pray, and make sure all our lives are in order. Tell evreyone every day that you love them, you know, all the typical gooshy stuff.
I do not feel we are protecting ourselves enough. I don't think we really can unless we all move into bomb shelters, etc.
Life is really scary out there, you never know who or what is out to get you. Live your life to the fullest and be right with yourself, your family, friends and whichever God you belive. And pray like mad.
It's a sad, sad world, and I feel guilty every day for bringing my babies into it. I hope they have a chance to really enjoy the good things in life.
That's it, you decided me, I'm taking them to the circus Saturday........
