I get the horrible idea in my head that there was a scorpion collector on that same plane transporting a few specimens back home. Oh why do I know that one of us is guilty.
Im almost reminded of that day where I stopped at the pet store on my way home from changing out limos for a run later on that night. I needed a few mice for a stubborn ball python to see if I could coax him to eat. Since I wasnt used to transporting mice, I didnt think the two of them would chew their way out.... WRONG! I caught one under the seat but the other got away .... for the time being. I had a trio of couples in the car for the prom that night ... as usual I get pretty chummy with almost all of my clients. Sometime after dinner on the way to the prom one of the guys dangled a little white mouse in the in my divider window and (I quote) asked "Hey Chad .... did you lose one of your pets?". Im sooo lucky that the girls thought it was funny. Had that got back to their parents and then to the company I couldnt have explained it off as a field mouse. Everyone in the company knows about my pets ... ive had to get a few live deliveries at the office so I could make sure they got signed for.
