Hey you Chondro aficionados. What's a Chondro like this worth?
She is owned by a friend of mine and he is wondering what something like this might be worth. He bought her as a yellow neonate about three months old at the time. Here is a description of her.
This Biak Island Female was received via captive breeding from the Tulsa zoo in December of 1991. Her serial number is #10609. The animal has maintained an overall yellow coloration throughout its life until just a few years ago. When cooler or recently fed, this animal which already sports a light olive color on its dorsum will become darker in that area. When the reverse is true, she is much lighter. The pure yellow areas and flecks do not darken at any point. The animal has been bred one time in its life and via one breeding attempt. 1995 she threw 15 eggs, 9 fertile and approximately 6 hatched. The sire was an imported, LTC Biak Male. The animal has been fed appropriate sized meals during its life and did not fully discontinue feeding when gravid. The animal has never regurgitated or shown any signs of illness in any form ever. This is a grade A animal with a lot of breeding potential.
Any info regarding the value of a Chondro like this or babies from a female like this would be great.
Thanks,
Jeff Ronne
