Yes. Ball Pythons are not a threat to their owners safety, are they? When you read a story of a constrictor related fatality, it's a burm, a retic, or rarely, an afrock. That's why most people advocate a 2 person per 6 foot of snake rule.
Anyone who has been around them can tell you that a retic is a more dangerous animal than a corn snake. The retic is usually under lock and key, indoors. There is the occaisional keeper who needs to walk the streets with a large constrictor to show the world how large his manhood is. If his snake bites someone, he should do jail time for his negligent acts.
