Come on now. Of course I would never want to see anyone mauled by an animal, permanently or not. Allow me the chance to re-word that. The child (13-14 yr old) purposely irritated the dog too make it angry. Thinking its funny. You taunt an animal trying to make it angry yet expect it not to hurt you if given the opportunity. Call me crazy but what did he think would happen? He wanted to see an angry dog, and, he did. He learned a pretty important lesson as did the parents who weren't watching their child. Too bad its a permanent disfigurement but people like that unless taught a lesson become bullies if not already. I doubt the child taunted anyone or anything after that. And the innocent dog that would more than likely have never hurt anyone if not taunted, had to be killed for defending itself. Think about it.
I do not wish harm on any innocent animal, even more so an innocent child. I definatley did not mean to come off like that MED. I hope you can understand what I meant and where I was going with that. It would bother me if anyone, even people online I will more than likely never meet, viewed me in such a way.
