No wonder you see all these stories. But lets punish the breed. Thats not ignorant at all.
Why don't you ask responsible pitbull owners their take on the situation. Better yet, lets see the owners of these "pitbulls" that attacked.

This is a tragedy. Very very sad that this little girl lost her life.
and just an fyi - more children die every year choking on latex balloons than being killed by dogs in general, nevermind the specific breeds. Let's ban latex!! It's dangerous!!
