herpvetconnection.com will help you find a vet that may be in your area. Sometimes it's necessary to take a little drive in order to get to a herp knowledgable vet though.

What are the floor dimentions on the tank? Small boas like to climb a little more then older ones but the floor space is what they require the most. You'll be pretty amazed at how fast the little tiny worm grows into a "teenage" sized snake that will need quite a bit of moving room. Also, floor space is what is needed to get those temps were we need them to be. It is difficult to keep the proper temps in a smaller space with height.

As far as activity it sounds like normal activity. Usually they have pretty active tongue flickers though. Does it react with a tongue flicker when you move around the face, or it goes to investigate something? When I try to get a tongue shot in a picture I usually wiggle my finger to get them to notice and investigate with the tongue. (I know, mean tease.)

Another possibility could be an upcoming shed? Sometimes they get more inactive before we even start to notice external signs of shed.

Good luck with the new family member. You'll really enjoy her.
