Naturally, few snakes stay as pairs past the breeding season. However, in captivity, you can keep a pair together and breed them repeatedly: induced pairing. Small chance that they will refuse to mate, unless they are of the wrong age or climatic conditiions are wrong. But there always may be a possibility, kind of like personality problem.
