This is one of the reasons that I laugh at the commercials that end with "Drink Responsibly." If there's one thing alcohol helps you do is make responsible decisions. The more you drink, the more responsible you get. Your judgment improves with every drink. Then you shake a snake at the cops and run off into the brush leaving your ID behind.
