there can also be other reasons- like tele said,maybe post a pic with some back round ifno on the fella.
not saying you do it, but a lot of people feed their boas lees than normal. the boa eats, but not enough. this can also leave extra skin around.
i personally would make sure all the husbandry issues are met- including humidity. give the snake pedialite and see if he'll drink it.
a lil humid box will also aid in this- if you dont do the entire tank. just fill it with moss and keep it moist.
