Amikacin has been found to cause extensive damage to either snake kidneys or liver...I forget which....Neither is a good thing though. The main thing is...NEVER use either on a snake under one year of age unless as a last ditch effort to save a life. Most antibitotics cause dehydration and to a baby snake it is usually so bad that it is fatal.
