Sounds like a good idea, but I've got a few questions/concerns
1: Why just Petco? They're not the only ones...it would seem to me there might be less of a liablity issue if the site were dedicated to ending abuse and neglect in the reptile industry rather than ending abuse and neglect at just one of the hydra's heads
2: Getting it on TV sounds good, but start local...those big investigative shows normally just rip off their ideas from local affiliates then investigate further and expand on them. The big boys will never show anything they don't already know has some interest
3: Has anyone tried contacting Petco about this? Not just at the local level, but at their corporate level? Once you've got their form letter saying that they will may the corrections or will investigate, and you can then demonstrate that they haven't, then you've got the kind of thing that news companies take interest in (do the reporter's work for them...they're just like any of the rest of us...the less work they have to do...). their mailing address is
Petco Animal Supplies, Inc.
Customer Satisfaction Team
9125 Rehco Road
San Diego, CA 92121
and their e-mail is
customersatisfaction@petco.com
4: you know this means we have to boycott too, right? By purchasing anything there, whether live or not, you help allow them to continue these practices. There's no point in complaining about this but still continuing to give them the means to do so.
