If you read it, you would realize it was made for a tegu lol.
Tegus use cypress which is a great material to hold moisture. The screen is there to allow some sun light to come in and help with the UVB. Lights inside the cage is fine with tegus. Also, there are mesh covers over the lights now even though the tegu will never be able to reach the lights. This is an outdoors cage, I spray it down with the water hose daily.
