may i ask what do you mean by "redtail boa", is it just because it is a i kinda red tail??? or is it a boa constrictor constrictor from any of the bcc locales???
my opionion is, if they have no chance what so ever of crossing in the wild- then why would you do it. you may or may not produce any good looking young. you'll just be adding to the flood of poor boas in the market- then again, you may not. they may both be het for something.
for the record i wouldnt even cross them if they had a chance to cross in the wild.
if you want to selectivly breed boas and want a good chance to make a prettier better boa, i would also suggest buying a boa similar to the female! taking a good looking female and mating to an ugly or average male- or even a nice male with totally different colors will likely produce ugly young.
take your time out and find a better looking boa and breed them together. try to find out the locale of these boas if you can and try to do it the right way.
