I would agree in saying that carpets are a bit on the more intelligent side,but on the other hand, have owned and been around a couple mental jcps..lol..(inbreeding perhaps?..hehe)
Maybe we assume our larger and/or more alert snakes are smarter than say,our boas because of those exact characteristics....With retics and burms...size has something to do with it..they are almost like humans at times...and as for carpets and scrubs,for example..my opinion is that its the big alert eyes always watching you like a hawk ....you can almost 'see' their brains churning,ya know? There are definitely breeds that are smarter than others,but I think that our snakes' intelligence is based a lot on its 'family' background,genes and maybe even what it goes through in the egg or womb...((??))..I dunno..this is just a speculation on my part....maybe I'm completely off base here,but it seems somewhat logical...
