Well, couldnt the greenish part be bruising? Maybe when the snake was grabbed it ended up being bruised. I know that little snakes wiggle A LOT when handled and maybe someone squeezed a little to hard with their fingers to grip him on his sides. I remember seeing a picture of a albino burmese python with bruising from constriction on this site. Maybe thats the reason you say the green is starting to fade on its own.

Mites are scary especially on baby snakes. I dont want to scare you, but we had a tiny hatchling with mites and he ended up dying from the stress. Make sure the mites are taken care of and dont handle him more than you have too, stress is the number one killer for tiny babies.
