I'll be working the whole day, but will spend a quiet evening with my wife and pets.
I don't have much family in the U.S as my wife and I moved here from Israel but I know that it's a going to be a day of mourning there.
Coming from a country where we lose innocent lives ,women and children, in suicide bombings on a daily basis, there is a very strong understanding of what this country is going through. There will be a rally in support of the U.S in Tel-Aviv tomorrow night which I know my parents will both be at (they are both from Chicago) and they are expecting half a mil. people to show up.
As to your question, I don't think anything will happen this 9/11.
I served 2 years in the Israeli national guard and 4 more years as a Staff seargent in the Israeli infentry in the west bank and gaza. If I learned one thing about terrorism is that it's 90% psychological. the point is to get you when and where you least expect it. that's what botheres you the most. Also, anniversary's don't mean a thing to them (terrorists) it's about and for "the cause". nothing else.
Just my .02
Hope you get to spend a quiet day with your family... when it comes down to it that's what life is all about. Spending time with our loved ones.
God bless America.
-Sean.
