I posted this topic to find out other peoples experiences.
I actually have a very good link with a bloke who is constantly being updated with dangerous reptile laws in the state of Illinois. He claims that the 8 foot maximum law is being enforced in this state. There was talk about totally prohibiting any snake species to even be allowed in the state of Illinois that exceeds the 8 foot mark regardless if it is a juvenile or not. Nothing in stone has been offered as yet.

My green annie is only a baby (3 foot) and seems to be growing quite well compared to when i first got her. Her size is of no importance to me so she will stay with me till she drops. She has an awesome temperament and always tries to climb up onto my hand/arm when i clean her water container/enclosure out. She doesn't seem to mind being picked up and held and has never bit me either. This is the reason why i am getting worried about when she grows to a more hefty size and if she keeps this personality will people still see her as a threat?

I already know the answer to this so i guess i need to find another state to relocate as a permit i enquired about would have been denied. I don't need any trouble! I wont be staying in this appartment for too much longer but am reluctant in moving out of the state. I guess i have no choice now. Is there a state that has no size limits on large snakes which is decent living for people as well?
Thanks again.
