www.corallus.com has a great page about cook's tree boas. As for temperment, they're on the same level as the amazon tree boas. Cooks are seldom seen in the pet trade, generally the boas you see labled as "Cooks" are nothing more than amazon tree boas. The only way to truly tell the difference is through a scale count. Cook's also do not have different color phases (at least none that are known) so if you see a red tree boa labled as a cooks there's a 99.999% chance that its an amazon. We have a male Cook's tree boa (zoo bred and verified through scale counts) and have been searching for a mate for him for a while now. He's pictured on my website under the boa breeder photos.
