I dont think that was his point..
His point being, you need to do your research and read caresheets BEFORE you get your animals, or ask which one If you have to ask what kind of chameleon, snake, etc you should buy..you need to read more and make your choice...
A bit of experience with "easier" to keep animals would probably be advisable as well. Although it isnt necessary given you research your next pet.
Keeping chameleons isnt all that easy, you have to keep them warm & humid in a screen cage..lol Not to mention dietary needs, lighting specifications, etc.. The best thing to do is read or print out a caresheet, and make notes of items you will need before you shop for your chameleon, or ask which one you should get.
