That is the case in parts of Florida from what i have heardalso. BUT none the less... it is NOT an indigenous specie to where it is located atm. Many factors come into play like Eddie has said already here. IMO.. I would suggest trying to catch it if possible. Doing such would eliminate many different things, including like you said the "squash" factor that could come about possibly. You say you'll have the room in a couple weeks to even keep it hehe. Might even take you that long to catch it even..lol. As for how to "trap" it ?? Hmm.. Sorry I couldn't offer more than what you have come up with thus far on that one. It let you near it once, maybe you'll get another chance to 'grab it" again. Just be prepared to contain it is all if you do. GL catching it.
