Bathing them too often strips their bodies of essential oils, and therefore their skin regenerates those oils even thicker and therefore makes the ferret stink more. Also really bad earwax can make a ferret stink. One of my ferts has bad earwax, and I have to clean his ears all the time...
Most commercial breeders in the US descent and desex their ferrets before they leave the breeder. You'll know if your ferret is both desexed and descented (and also from Marshall farms) if there are two bluish tattoos on their right ear.
Ferrets are cool, I love them.
