This seems like a good place to put this in . . .

I was talking to my dad about how I thought my Pepito might have mites (rubbing his head on things, soaking, but I can't find any mites), and he said that when he had rabbits, he'd use vegetable oil to get rid of their ears mites. He figured mineral oil and other suchness would work, too. Apparently, it suffocates the mites and kills them, without harming the rabbits (snakes, too I guess).

Has anyone here tried it?
