I don't know if anyone has posted about this before, but anyway! [img]modules/Forum/images/smiles/icon_razz.gif[/img] Of course it's great to have the good manuals for whatever reptile you have, but this book is different. It's called 277 Secrets Your SNAKE (and Lizard) Wants You To Know by Paulette Cooper. The book is filled with things that manuals don't normally cover, and takes recommendations by herpers around the world to give great tips.
Here's an excerpt some of you might enjoy:
Problems with Neighbors, Spouses, and Others
"Have your mates told you that they will shave their heads, change their names, and flee the country if they see one more herp enclosure squeeze its way into your home?" asked Leigh Kleiman of the West New York Herpetological Society.
If you feel like you can never have enough of these scaly babies, here's a few things she suggests that you can say to your spouse that might work:

<LI>Tell them you want to have a baby. Once the shock dies down, say," Well I guess I could settle for a corn snake."
<LI>Get rid of the bed in the guest bedroom. "Chances are, no one is willing to sleep there anyway, and it leaves room for many enclosure possibilities."
<LI>Start breeding your own rodents. Have a few conveniently escape and tell your mate: "Gee, population control would be a snap if we only had a few more snakes."
<LI>Tell your mate that you're becoming a vegetarian. Then point out how much more room there will be in the freezer for snake food after the steaks and chicken breasts are gone.
<LI>Point out how empty the top of that low bookshelf looks, and how, from a decorator's view, another viv would sure spice it up.
<LI>Beg. "Shameless, I know, but trust me. I've tried everything on this list and that's the only one that has ever worked."[/list]
