Vermiculite is great for incubating leopard gecko eggs, it is not a good idea however to use in their humidity chambers/nestboxes. Leopard geckos have a tendency to ingest sand or any other ingestable substrate (in this case vermiculite), either accidentally (when eating) or sometimes purposely. They are able to pass fine grained sands without problems 99% of the time but vermiculite can cause serious impaction problems which can lead to death. I recommend moist sphagnum moss in your humid hides, it is much safer. Hope this helps and best of luck with your leopard geckos!
