Yeah, I never said that I actually thought it was a mamba. I went searching to the pics to see what it actually was, knowing he wouldn't be holding a black mamba. My post said "At that point I stopped reading to see if he really was on the cover and what snake he was holding, since it was obviously not a Black Mamba."
But thanks for the rat snake vote...if that is what the majority agrees it is, then it's pretty pathetic that the writers at Slam would say it's a Kingsnake, since they probably had to ask what it was. Apparently the snakes owner/handler wasn't nearby and they didn't care to clarify? Lame, if thats the case.
