You should always have a say when shipping hots. You are receiving a dangerous and potentially deadly animal. While there are a lot of similarities between nonven herpetoculture and ven herpetoculture, there are a lot of differences. A red flag should go up if you are getting a hot and there is no $25 box fee and Delta Dash shipping. What does the dealer care, you are the one paying for shipping. The problem is that you CAN ship lizards through some of these carriers and you can ship snakes through Airborne Express (I don't think they have changed that). So it is easy for a dealer or a buyer to want to save a significant amount of money to try to bend the rules. But the concequences are too great: a dead snake, an innocent envenomation, an excaped cobra, large fines, and jailtime ar the ones that I think of off the top of my head.
Again, not saying that anyone here did anything wrong, just thought it would be some good information that had not been addressed yet.
