How's his poop looking? nothing but clumps of fur? The problem with feeding a boa on a 5 day schedule is that they have a slow metabolism and they really need a couple more days to properly digest and regain gut flora. Prolonged feeding this way could cause him to have digestion problems resulting in malnutrition and regurging problems. I don't think he was being fed enough before you got him. It's really not fair though to judge this by that one photo where his sides look boney...it could be from needing to shed I guess...but any way, if he does need to put on a little weight, it's not wise to try and fatten him up overnight by overfeeding. That usually ends up working in reverse.
