It's not exactly bad for em...I'm sure they get the same nutrients no matter which end goes in first. The snake will figure it out eventually....but yeah, it can be frustrating to watch...

There's not much you can do about it. It'll either figure it out or it wont. At least it's not trying ot go sideways.
