Hey again PC yeah that's right across the border from me about 1 1/2 hour's from me! Um let's see regular hay? I don't see why not as long as he has something to get plenty of fiber from! I give mine dark green's everyday about 1/4 cup and if he eat's it all fine and if not fine! The biggest part should be high fiber thing's like the hay! Also they love dandylions, prickly pear cactus, and dark green's! I'm sure you may know this also stay away from fruit's and any type of bean's! Ocassional sweet potato is fine in small amount's very small use it as a treat! Anyway back to the hay you probably would like the look of the Timothy better than regular hay and I'm believe it's much eaiser for them to eat! Also hay for the substrate is better than other thing's it build's better muscle tone and help's the little guy to be able to right himself if he flip's over!!! (Something we don't wont to start with!) If no one told ya they can sufficate if they flip and can't turn back over. Anyway I could go on and on but here's a good link of info!
