i thought i had that problem until i got a new gauge. definitely get a new one and see if your humidity is really as bad as you think...also, how do you heat the tank? i use bulbs and hold it fine, but i live in South Carolina. bulbs will dry the cage out faster than UTH. also, if you can lower temps and still keep it in a safe range for your snake, that will help.
