Humidity is always something you should sort out before you get any type of reptile.

How can you not get anything above 30? I live in Utah (one of the dryest states during the winter... our humidity is literally below 20 most of the time), and I manage to hold humidity just fine. Just use some wet towels or mist down the tank.
