As far as snakefood as pets. Mynx is running loose right now and I haev two snakes in their tubs eating. No problems. That was my fear, actually that she would get out and kill the snakes. It all boils down to management, escape-proof cages, supervison when loose, etc. The smell thing, yeah, if I miss changing her litter box you can smell her. I bathe her with ferrt shampoo about every two weeks. That seems to help. She was spayed and descented before I got her, but they do have musk glands arond their neck area and that's the part that needs special attention while bathing. THey are very neat pets, interactive and curious. Lots of fun just to watch.
Mynx is actually getting a little pudgy and lazy, so I want to get her a friend to give her more of an excuse to exercise a bit. That and I think it would be hilarious to watch two of them playing.
Overall, I am glad I got her, not that hard to care for and really rewarding little pets.
