they are picky n choosy. i had to not feed my royals for almost 2 months just to get them off of mice! they loved mouse, but never took a rat. i did that drastic move to make a successful switch. now they all eat rat.
they may imprint on a certain thing. also a bigger mouse would last a #$%^$%^$%^$%^& of alot longer than a fuzzy. ike my guys- when they wont eat for 2 weeks- its usually because i gave them a larger rat or something. it just held them over more.
with bp's- really watch the stress factor- it may be a cause for the non eating. it took me a while to get them to feed out of their enclosure. seems like any switch messed with them.
then that was only with a few- i have others that you could step on while they eat and they would just continue with out a care in the world.
what you can do is make sure every thing on your end is right. once that is done, you will see you hardly ever have a problem.
