Actually Friends of mine had the luxury of going herping in Australia. they had a guide for the most part. But being Yanks they came well equipped hooks tongs bags you name it. Their Aussie guide laughed at them. Thats pretty much an Aussie tradition of free handing hots. Yo have to remember Austtralia was originally a prison island. The prisoners im sure had to prove them selves and this was the easiest way to do it. If they got bit and Died.. their sentence was allot shorter so not much to lose.
