sick anaconda

My 11', 40lb Anaconda is sick....She hasn't eaten in 9 weeks (usually eats every 3 weeks). She keeps her head elevated from the floor. I had used cedar as substrate until now. Is more active than usual. Temp in enclosure is 85-90. Natural lighting. Haven't noticed wheezing, mouth is not open, no runny nostrils. Seems strong. I live 6 hours from a good herp vet. A reputable vet suggested I administer a cycle of antibiotics: Amikacin. If that doesn't work, take the 6 hour trip for a throat culture and bloodwork. Does this seem like a good plan? Does anyone have any advice? Any ideas on what the proplem is (could the cedar have caused problems? If so, what and how to treat...)? Any assistance is appreciated!!
