I keep hearing ...or reading actaually that peroxide and listerine cause living cells to die and some tissue damage...but, I have personally never seen any such thing. Sure, some living cells probably die but they die anyway and are constantly replaced. Tissue damage? After any "mouthrot" treatment, I've never seen anything but perfectly healed mouth, unless of course the snake happened to have died during treatment from his/her other illnesses. I have gargled with peroxide before...poured it my ears (That's fun! It sounds like you have bumble bees living in your head...try it!) It doesn't burn or kill any tissue. If it does, it sure heals fast and leaves no traces. Listerine burns. I'll give them that but again...tissue damage? I've never seen it.
